Charlie Parkin

Charlie Parkin is a composer, music producer, and filmmaker creating original music and visual stories across film, digital media, and commercial projects. His work spans orchestral and ambient scores through to electronic and hip-hop production, always driven by a passion for storytelling and the emotional connection between sound and image. He has collaborated with clients including the NHS, Virti, and the National Police Wellbeing Service, and has received several awards for his work.

Alongside his music practice, Charlie works as a creative producer and director of photography. His background in filmmaking informs his approach to composition, giving him a strong understanding of narrative, pacing, and visual storytelling. Whether writing a score, producing a track, or working behind the camera, he is always exploring creative ways to bring ideas to life.

Beyond his creative practice, Charlie is a Lecturer in Filmmaking at UWE Bristol, where he supports emerging filmmakers in developing their craft. Prior to this, he led the Screen Production department at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, producing short films and teaching across the programme.

Playful, collaborative, and passionate about storytelling in all its forms, Charlie is always interested in working on ambitious projects, fresh ideas, and new creative collaborations.
