- Born in Topeka, Kansas, Paul's parents home schooled him in Lawrence, Kansas, where they raised him along with his two brothers. Growing up, Paul spent his free time skiing, horseback riding, and fencing. At the age of 19, Paul enlisted as an infantryman in the United States Army. He was stationed with the Official Escort to the President of the United States in Arlington, Virginia, for three years where he performed diplomatic escort missions for President Barack Obama, multiple Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients, and many other world leaders and military officials. Paul's military awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Air Assault Badge, and Expert Infantryman Badge. After an honorable discharge, Paul moved back to Lawrence, Kansas, where he writes and produces short-films.
