Adrian Guri is an Albanian film director, screenwriter, producer and film editor based in Tirana. His work focuses on socially engaged and human-centered stories, often exploring family, migration, culture and the relationship between people and the environment.
He began working in the film industry at the age of 18 and has since contributed to more than twenty feature films and over one hundred short films in directing, editing, post-production, cinematography, sound and producing roles. He also served as Editing Director on Season 3 of the television series "Nina."
Guri wrote, directed and produced the feature documentary "Saving the Vjosa River - The Story Behind", which received international festival recognition and awards, including Best Film in Albanian at Travel Fest 2024, Third Prize for Sustainability at the Amorgos International Film Festival 2025, and Best Male Director at the Frome International Climate Film Festival 2026.
His first non-student fiction film, "The Wooden Suitcase", supported by the National Center of Cinematography of Albania, is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
His debut feature fiction project, "The Space Between", is in development and was selected for the PriForum Best Pitch Competition 2026. His second short fiction project, "Corridors of Hope and Fear", was selected for the DokuFest Short Film Forum 2026.
Beyond film, Guri is the director and producer of the audio podcasts "Vjosa Story" and "RiverWomen", projects focused on environmental and human stories.
Guri is Creative Director of the Tirana International Film Festival and Creative Director of CreativeMornings Tirana. He is also the founder of the Tirana-based production and post-production company AM-PRODUCTION.
