  • Keelan Williams is an American filmmaker known for his documentary work centering community-driven storytelling about art, place, and human connection. His most recent film, Paving the Way (2026), made a premiere at the Tribeca Festival. The film follows Indigenous skateboarders on Montana’s Flathead Reservation, was made in partnership with the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes, and features an original score by Pearl Jam co-founder Jeff Ament.

    Williams graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Film & Television Production. At 22, he directed his debut feature documentary, Tell Them We Were Here (2021), which examines Bay Area artists and their role in advancing social justice through creative practice. The film exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and won recognition at festivals worldwide.

    Beyond documentary work, Williams has directed branded content for major clients including Google, Home Depot, and Visible. His films have been screened at prominent institutions including The Berkeley Art Museum, The Headlands Center for the Arts, and Centre Pompidou in Málaga.
