Biography

An Irish screenwriter, Fiona entered the industry working initially inhouse in finance at a variety of Film and TV production companies. She then moved to focus on her own screenwriting and slate. Her original feature screenplay, The Mount, was developed through Screen Ireland’s emerging talent Spotlight scheme and subsequently optioned by producer Laura McNicholas of 925 Productions, with Brian Durnin attached to direct. The Mount was selected as the sole Irish project for the prestigious 2026 TIFF International Financing & Project Market.In 2026, she was selected for the competitive BBC New Voices scheme from a pool of over six thousand applicants. Her comedy short, The Kevin Intervention, was one of ten projects chosen for Screen Ireland’s Focus Shorts scheme and premiered at the 2026 Galway Film Fleadh.
