Romain Dasnoy is a writer, composer, music producer, founder of the international music label Wayô Records and the international concert production company Overlook Events. He is best known to be the first producer to bring video game music in Europe with composer such as Nobuo Uematsu, Noriyuki Iwadare, Akira Yamaoka, Hitoshi Sakimoto, to bring Danny Elfman on stage in Europe in the early 2010s, and to be the producer of the world premiere of the official Ghibli Studio concert tour with Joe Hisaishi. As a writer, YouTube and Twitch host, he contributed in France to many books and television programs.

Romain Dasnoy was born on 13 June 1982 in Pontoise, France. After being graduating in Japanese language and art of cinema at the Sorbonne in Paris, he became a journalist specialized in cinema in numerous magazines such as Fantastic Report and Cinefonia Magazine from the early 2000s. At the same time, he enters into the organization of major popular events as executive producer, such as Japan Expo and the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival, and becomes the co-founder of Comic Con Paris in 2007. His first guests are Ernest Borgnine, Christopher Lee, Keir Dullea, Lalo Schifrin, Tony Curtis, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Gô Nagai and Buzz Aldrin, among many others.

In 2011, he creates a label specialized in video game music, Wayô Records, and works in collaboration with Michiru Ôshima and Masashi Hamauzu, where he produces Joe Hisaishi's album Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (2011), and at the same time he creates a concert production company, Overlook Events, working with companies such as Disney, Universal, Warner, Toei Animation, Square Enix, Ubisoft and Bandai Namco. As producer, he is also the music and artistic director of all the concert licenses produced under the brand names "Symphonic Adventure", "Tribute Series" and "Melodia".

As an author, he publishes several short stories at Black Coat Press since 2014, and writes essays about famous video games such as Kingdom Hearts (2002) (Ynnis Editions, 2019), Final Fantasy VI (1994) (Pix'n Love Edition, 2017) and Red Dead Redemption II (2018) (Third Edition, 2020), about famous films such as Indiana Jones (Third Edition, 2022), in addition of other kind of books such as The Film Music Composer Guide (Ynnis Editions, 2017) and The Science Fiction TV Show Guide (Ynnis Editions, 2018). The forewords of his books are written by famous actors, producers or artists in the art industry such as Paul Freeman, Robert K. Weiss, Akira Ueda and Peter Sherayko.

In 2021, Romain Dasnoy launches the brand "MacGuffin Maker" to direct documentaries and host live broadcasts on YouTube and Twitch, about cinema, music and video games.
