Molly Manners is a BAFTA-winning director. Her feature film debut, Extra Geography (2026) (Film4/BFI/Screen Yorkshire), had a sold-out world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition, receiving excellent reviews.
Molly is best known for her work on the hit Netflix series One Day (2024) for which she received two BAFTA nominations, including Best Director, and won the RTS Best Director award. The series launched in February 2024, hitting global number 1 and receiving 5-star reviews in The Guardian, The Times and BBC Culture; hailing it as "flawless", "exquisite", and "note-perfect".
Before this, she directed the critically acclaimed second series of the award-winning comedy drama, In My Skin (2018) (BBC3/Hulu) for which she won a BAFTA for Best Drama Series, two BAFTA Cymru awards for Best Director and Best Drama, and an RTS award for Best Drama.
