Biography

Raúl E. Peyret is an Argentinian-born actor, director, and producer based in Los Angeles, known for grounded, emotionally precise performances and a quiet intensity on screen. He moves easily between vulnerable, introspective characters and powerful authority figures, often playing doctors, executives, and men with something to hide. He wrote, directed, produced, and starred in his debut feature Home(sick): A Journey Within, a coming-of-age drama about exile, identity, and belonging. The film has been recognized internationally, winning Best Director (Thriller/Drama) and Best First Feature - International at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF 2025), and screening at the City of Angels Women's Film Festival (Official Selection 2023) and the Seattle Latino Film Festival. As an actor, Raúl appears in June and John, directed by Luc Besson, as well as independent projects including The Scottish Play, Martingale, and Gone with the Dead. His stage work ranges from Shakespearean adaptation to contemporary drama, with notable performances in The Pericles Project (dir. Robin Lynn Smith), Anna in the Tropics (dir. Rose Cano), and Uncle Vanya (dir. Susan Bradford). His screen work has earned him the Filmchilla Best Performance Award (2021). Raúl's background in Systems Engineering and his MBA give him a sharp, analytical approach to story and character. As a filmmaker he builds emotionally driven, globally minded projects. As an actor he brings the same discipline and depth to set, combining strong craft, clear choices, and a collaborative, director-friendly mindset.
