Alessio Mazzolotti

Alessio Mazzolotti is an Italian screenwriter, author, and immersive media director. He has worked in the entertainment industry for over 15 years, signing major productions for broadcasters such as Mediaset, RAI, SKY, and international channels. He is also the co-founder of Fishbonecreek and Ice Cubes, two creative studios focused on digital storytelling, immersive installations, and XR content for cultural institutions and brands.
Alessio holds a PhD in Communication Sociology and has collaborated on a variety of multidisciplinary projects ranging from theater productions to AI-powered experiences and accessible museum installations. He is known for blending narrative depth with innovative technologies, and has spoken at the Italian Parliament (Chamber of Deputies) on the intersection of AI and creative work.
His works include "Io (r)esisto" for explorer Alex Bellini, the immersive installation "Vento," and theater pieces such as "Il Coniglio Bianco" and "Dobbiamo tutto agli hippie." He co-wrote the award-winning feature film L'estate di Luca, which received a UNESCO special mention at the BAFF Film Festival.
In 2023, he co-authored the book #Metaverse Architect with Aaron Brancotti, a reflection on digital worldbuilding and the role of artificial intelligence in Extended Realities. In 2025, his literary fiction debut Giorni di macaia will be published by Bookabook. The novel, which earned recognition from the Premio Calvino committee, has a preface by acclaimed crime writer Timothy Williams.
Alessio continues to explore new forms of hybrid narration across physical, digital, and cognitive spaces, using storytelling as a bridge between memory and invention.
