Biography

Kobi Frumer is an actor and filmmaker born and raised in New York City. While Kobi is based in Los Angeles, he is bi-coastal pursuing his studies at Columbia University. His passion for acting began at eight years old after becoming captivated by the actors in Disney Channel commercials. At age ten, he was discovered during a family vacation in Mexico, launching his professional career.

Shortly after entering the industry, Kobi booked his first professional role as the voice of Sir Blaine in Nickeloedon’s Nella the Princess Knight. He quickly built experience across commercials, theater, and independent films before landing one of his dream roles as Marvel character Zach Lieberman in Disney+ Marvel's The Punisher. Working alongside Jon Bernthal further fueled Kobi's commitment to the craft and solidified his desire to pursue acting for life.

In addition to performing, Kobi is an emerging filmmaker with a passion for character-driven storytelling. He studies Film & Media Studies and Cognitive Science at Columbia University, combining his understanding of storytelling with the psychology of human behavior to deepen both his performances and creative work behind the camera.

As the founder and president of CLiP (Crowned Lion Innovative Pictures. we make films.), Columbia University's first officially recognized undergraduate filmmaking organization, Kobi has helped build a thriving community of more than 150 student filmmakers, producing dozens of films and launching campus film festivals in its inaugural year.

A lifelong student of cinema and self-proclaimed superhero trivia expert, Kobi is passionate about telling meaningful stories that leave a lasting impact. As he transitions from child actor to adult leading man, Kobi continues to seek bold, character-driven projects while developing films that inspire audiences and elevate the next generation of storytellers.
