Andrew Robb was born 1907 in Leith, Scotland, UK. He graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1926. After work in a commercial art studio he was employed as fashion illustrator for almost 50 years by the Daily Express newspaper. He published a book, "The Queen's Clothes" in 1977. He died in 1989.
