She is notably well traveled; she has been around the world 17 times, experienced military and deployment life, lived in varied housing environments including barracks, hotels, trailers, farms, and even a shipping container in Afghanistan. Her experiences have been shaped by being present in three historic revolutions.
Paula grew up traveling, having lived in places such as Tehran during the Iranian Revolution, Berlin before the fall of the Berlin Wall, Puerto Rico, Portugal, the Philippines, Oahu, and Afghanistan, among others. As an adult, she served in the U.S. Army Reserves and Texas Army National Guard. She completed a 28 month deployment in Afghanistan supporting NATO forces. She has advanced training in defensive driving maneuvers (like J-Turns and PIT), and weapons qualifications (M-16, AK-47, M-15, pistols). Her education and her service background inform a real life depth that enriches her performances. She has contributed to several short films and TV projects since beginning her acting studies in 2016.
