Jack Fox is a Scottish film director with a passion for genre filmmaking, his films feature a strong artistic style with an emphasis on spectacle and visual effects. Jack recently directed the Scottish action/ fantasy epic 'Chaos Rising' that released in August 2023 to great acclaim and captured the attention of AAA Film & Game studio Rebellion. Jack began development of his first mainstream feature film with Rebellion in late 2024.

Jack Fox is a rising star in the Scottish independent film industry. Formally an accomplished visual effects artist, Jack focused on directing after winning multiple awards for his short films as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival and has since gone on to write and direct for BBC Scotland as well as co-found several successful production companies in Scotland.

Before directing Chaos Rising (2022), Jack wrote and directed short form comedy for BBC Scotland.
Jack won first place in the nationwide Irn Bru 'gets you through' commercial competition in 2020, beating hundreds of applicants to claim the first prize. Despite winning, Jack's commercial was deemed 'Too hot for TV' and an edited version was broadcast on UK television.
Jack began making films at the age of ten and was awarded 'Best Film' in the Scottish VOMO film festival in 2002 when he was just twelve years old.
Jack is an avid traditional poster artist and continues to hand draw and paint posters for his films, including the official poster for Chaos Rising which was created using acrylics and coloured pencils. Jack's favourite artist is renowned poster designer Drew Struzan.
Is a self taught VFX artist. Jack Initially wanted to study traditional animation at university but despite applying to multiple art schools he was ultimately unsuccessful. Jack continued making short films and began learning visual effects compositing using free online tutorials eventually leading him to a career as a professional VFX supervisor. Jack continues to push his VFX abilities with every project and often acts as VFX supervisor on his films.
