Biography

Ashwini Shende is a talented, award-winning lyricist, screenwriter and YouTuber. She is well-known for her contributions in Hindi and Marathi entertainment industry. Earlier, she has worked in the world of news too.

Ashwiniji has always loved listening to songs and singing too. Since her college days, she started writing poetries and songs as a hobby. After graduating from the Sathe College, Mumbai, Ashwini worked as a journalist with The Indian Express news company. Later she joined Loksatta News as deputy-editor. Her editorial columns got her an offer of writing dialogues for a film. She accepted.

Her talent kept getting her further offers and she started writing lyrics for songs and albums too. Her debut album as lyricist was "Akshar Roop Parabrahma" by popular singer Vaishali Samant. Her next assignment was for the film "Yanda Kartavya Aahe" which became superhit, along with its songs by Ashwiniji. She has also penned the lyrics for the title songs of several popular Marathi TV shows.

Ashwini's movie credits at the start of her career as a lyricist include Time Pass, Tujhi Majhi Love Story, Mitwa, Laal Ishq, One Way Ticket, Tula Kalnnaar Nahi, Deva etc.

She has written the screenplay and dialogues for superhit films like "Mumbai Pune Mumbai 2".

Ashwiniji has received many awards for her contributions, including the prestigious Zee Marathi awards.
