Marouane Kamal is a Moroccan director, screenwriter, and actor, a graduate of the Higher School of Visual Arts (ESAV) in Marrakech. His work is defined by a deep interest in human stories.
Throughout his career, he has directed fiction and documentary works selected at numerous national and international festivals, including Takourte (2017), awarded the Grand Prix TV5 Monde and the Grand Prix Pascal Abikanlou, and Le Gavage (2022), a documentary on the practice of force-feeding in Morocco’s Saharan provinces, recognized at several festivals.
Alongside his work as a director, Marouane Kamal has built a career as an actor, collaborating with filmmakers of varied styles and bringing to life characters with a wide range of profiles and sensibilities.
