Biography

Donald D. Mangan II studied comic book illustration, cartooning and animation at Inkspinner Schools of Art in the early 1990s. Since 1994, Mangan has been a top animator at the ARG! Cartoon Animation studio, winning numerous awards, producing commercial animation for leading U.S. companies such as Kaiser Permanente, Duracell and HP, and creating numerous short GIF and Flash animations. In 2007, his one-minute animation of Michael Spencer's "Goldzinger" was screened at the Heartland Emmy Awards ceremony. In 2015 he directed 12 episodes of Muyiwa Kayode's "Adventures of Turtle Taido" which aired on Nigerian Television Authority stations. A seven minute trailer for the Turtle Taido program was subsequently screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2016.
