Simone Bett is a freelance producer based in Scotland. She produced "Dark Sense", her first feature in 2017, an exciting and dark thriller based on the bestselling novel "First and Only" by Peter Flannery.
One notable achievements includes producing the documentary feature "The Great Game," which chronicles the historic first rugby international match between Scotland and England in 1871. This project showcases her ability to blend historical significance with engaging storytelling.
With her forensic attention to detail Simone has worked on broadcast documentaries for ITV (Mysterious Scotland) and Channel 4 (Treasure, Series 1&2), and has worked on over a hundred acclaimed corporate and commercial films shot across all corners of the world.
In October 2015 Simone produced "Simon", the prologue to "Dark Sense" with director Magnus Wake. This short film screened at 7 international film festivals, including screening at Cannes Short Corner. She also produced short films "Chips" and "The Rehearsal".
Simone is an alumni of the Edinburgh International Film Festival's Talent Lab programme, which she attended in 2016.
At EIFF 2017 Simone meet AJ Sykes and a discussion started around the sci-fi short feature film, "Untethered". Simone is very excited to be working on this original feature, particularly on the back of the success and interest in the short film and the feature script.
