Pierrette Alarie was born on November 9, 1921 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was an actress, known for Scope (1949) and Festival (1960). She was married to Leopold Simoneau. She died on July 10, 2011 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

She was awarded the Masters of Music and a C.C. (Companion of the Order of Canada) before being awarded the 2002 Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for her services to Canada. She was a resident of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

She was awarded the C.C. (Companion of the Order of Canada on: November 15, 1995 and Invested on: October 8, 1996 for her services to music as a soprano and musician.

She was awarded the O.C. (Officer of the Order of Canada) on July 6, 1967and invested on: November 24, 1967 for her services to music.
