Rich Holton

Rich Holton is an award-winning American actor working in film, television, and theater. Born and raised in San Francisco, he graduated from George Washington High School and played college baseball at Luther College, where he earned a degree in political science with a minor in English.
At twenty, Rich spent a year working in an orphanage in Uganda and coaching baseball for Little League International. He later played semi-professional baseball in Holland before training at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre under Amy Morton, Tim Hopper, and Shannon Cochrane.
In Chicago, he performed at the Raven Theatre, Griffin Theatre Company, The Artistic Home, Northlight Theater, and The Court Theatre among others. He also performed sketch and improv at The Second City and iO Chicago as a member of PocketRocket. On television, Rich played Cory on NBC’s Chicago PD and has appeared in dozens of commercials for brands including BMO Bank, Disney Resorts, Jim Beam, and Aspen Dental. He served as a recurring spokesman for the Illinois Lottery and contributed sketches and commercials to The Onion.
Rich starred in the Lifetime film Happily Never After and had supporting roles in the independent films Alex/October, Ashburn, and DemonCode. He won over fifteen awards for his lead performance in the psychological thriller Enter the Room.
Rich has practiced Muay Thai for more than ten years, including six months training and competing at Thailand’s Sitpholek Gym. A former college roommate of motivational speaker Chris Norton, he works with Norton’s SCI Can Foundation, which provides free outdoor summer camps for children who use wheelchairs and their families. He enjoys surfing, reading, and being in nature.
