Pier Luigi Sposato(I)

He was born and brought up in the south of Italy in a small city: Cosenza/Calabria. Already from a young age on he knew he wanted to create films. As first skill he started to learn as an actor for theatre and film. By the time he started his studies he felt the need to create films and tell his story though images and sound to the world. For his studies he moved first to Florence and then to Milan, during this period he traveled a lot through Europe and spend one year in Costa Rica/ Central America, especially in the months spent in Central America he broadened his view on the world. While he was studying Communication Technologies in Milan he worked at RAI as a Program Director. After he completed his studies he moved to Rome to work on his first feature film by the title "The Green Colour of Life". Up until this point he only has made short films to get experience as a film director and to improve his skills. After finishing this film he moved to Berlin since he was already inspired by this city when he traveled through Europe. During the months he lived in Berlin he wrote the screenplay "Spiral Vortex" and decided to create a Cartoon Movie, which combines his new experience and stimulations and his traditions. Berlin for him is a multicultural city full of movement and transformation completely contrasting the city where he grew up. This is only one aspect that will be represented in his new film. In his films his background plays an important role as well as confronting new topics, which are presented through different genres. He is driven by the idea to create films, which will stimulate and inspire the world. Therefore it is important for him to get to know different locations and people/professionals, which he then combines all of it within his films. Pier Luigi Sposato is a professional who wants constantly evolve and improve himself and his work. His cinema points of reference are Fellini, Kubrick and Fassbinder and his passion for music is fundamental for his films, especially the experimental work of Pink Floyd and the French composer Jean Michel Jarre.
