Biography

Joji Varughese aka "Jo Landon" is an American actor / writer / producer best known for his critically-acclaimed works Nadan (2016) and Penance (2019). Nadan won the 2017 Mitrahs Film Festival awards for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. In addition, the film was selected to various festivals in the US and abroad. At the 2018 Mitrahs Film Festival awards, Joji won Best Actor for his portrayal of the disturbed Tony George in Penance. Joji is a bilingual actor (Malayalam - Indian dialect) who lives for challenging roles. He has trained at Stella Adler Studios in downtown Manhattan and brings a natural style of acting to the roles he undertakes. Joji lives in NY with his wife Reena and 3 children, Isaac (6), Christian (3) and Nazriya (3 months) who are also beginning to get their feet wet as performers. The family was recently selected to model for a Nest Technologies global ad campaign. Looking ahead, Joji hopes to launch a web series with his family as the main cast soon. When he's not chasing his film passion, Joji works as a Finance professional in Midtown Manhattan. Stay tuned for more updates!
