Biography

Alyssa Baker is a Canadian actor and singer-songwriter best known for her leading role as Maggie in the Family Channel/Netflix series Lost & Found Music Studios, a spin-off of the global hit The Next Step. Her screen work also includes a guest-starring appearance on The CW’s In the Dark and a featured role in a Canadian Heritage Minute.

Born in Calgary and raised in Vancouver, Alyssa began performing before the age of six, quickly moving from local theatre stages to on-camera work. She earned early acclaim for her roles in Awkward Stage Productions’ 13! and Zanna Don’t!, performances that highlighted her vocal range, musicianship, and natural storytelling ability. Her extensive foundation in piano, guitar, and voice continues to shape her work both on screen and in the studio.

Beyond acting, Alyssa has built a global music audience, with 121K+ YouTube subscribers, over 25 million video views, and millions of streams across platforms. Her music has been featured on major Spotify playlists, and her viral videos have led to international performance opportunities. She has appeared in a Glamour magazine video, led a global MTV campaign, and continues to expand her artistic reach.

Alyssa works closely with Grammy-nominated producers and writers Nathan Ferraro and Mike Wise and will release a 1960s-inspired synth-pop EP in 2026.
