Simone Kali Smith is an arts and entertainment enthusiast who holds a B.A. in Film with a concentration in Screenwriting. As a teen, she participated in workshops and was awarded in competitions for filmmaking, poetry, and acting with NAACP Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). During this time, Smith also studied, wrote and performed with City Lights Youth Theatre.
She released a dramatic teen webseries titled "Sixteen Unsweetened", only using what she dubbed, 'the pocket change budget', consisting of loose change and dollars in her purses, drawers, piggy banks and couches.
Over time Simone has explored different avenues for film and video from interning in video production at Atlantic Records/WMG and The Source Magazine/Jones Magazine to spending years as a teaching artist with the viBE Theater Experience before she co-founded the creative team, Lenox Letters.
In 2022, they released the web-series, "Butch Queen Energy", which she co-directed.
