Marcia, better known as Marcy, started her love of horror films at an early age. She could often be found in front of the television with her mom watching classics like Dracula (1931), Plan 9 From Outer Space, even Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein. Soon she discovered late night horror hosts, local to Ohio, Big Chuck & Little John, Ghoulardi and Super Host.
She started her career in the industry as a BTS photographer for Robert Kurtzman in 2014. As she witnessed the master effects artist work, her interest in makeup application grew. On her first film, Stephen King's Gerald's game, she started working along side Robert applying the Moonlight Man makeup 18 times on the iconic actor Carel Struycken.
They formed Robert Kurtzman MUFX in 2017 in Atlanta and worked on The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, First Kill, Ma, Secret Headquarters and many more. They now enjoy working together as co-department heads, have a private studio in their hometown in Ohio and love watching movies with their two cats Buffy & Angel.
