Macaulee Cassaday is a writer, producer, and advocate based in Toronto, Canada. Their producing career began with Cancer Is Gay, a deeply personal short film exploring the intersection of illness and identity. Since then, Macaulee has created and produced two seasons of the web series Sam, Dev & Ange and two seasons of the documentary series After Caregiving for the Telus Fund. They are also the writer and producer of The Choice, a documentary examining the impact of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) on caregivers, and the producer of Pink Light, a short film about a trans hockey player's return to his sport, which premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. They are also the co-founder and CEO of Pink Light Productions, a production company dedicated to telling stories at the intersection of sport, gender, and entertainment.
