Yousef Hatamikia is an Iranian Director, writer, and producer with a degree in Cinema (Editing) from the Faculty of Cinema and Theatre, University of Art, Tehran. He began his career with short fiction films, developing a human-centered cinematic language focused on emotional depth and social context. His short films include "Glass Meeting"(2016) and "Return"(2015) both selected for international festivals such as the Grenoble Film Festival (France) and the Tehran International Short Film Festival, where they were nominated for Best Director.
He later expanded into documentary filmmaking, directing several short and feature-length documentaries, including "Eyes of War"(2018)
His debut feature film, "Golden Night (false Note)" (2021), was selected for the Fajr Film Festival. His second feature, "Escort (Guardian)" (2026), premiered at the Fajr Film Festival and received multiple nominations, including Best Director, and won the Audience Award for Best Film.
