Rajat Agrawal, COO & Director of Ultra Media & Entertainment Group, has been a driving force behind the company's evolution, blending his passion for film with a strategic vision for digital expansion. From a young age, Rajat Agrawal has been passionate about directing and producing films, a dream he has diligently nurtured throughout his life. Following in his father's footsteps, Rajat represents the second generation of the Ultra Media & Entertainment Group, bringing fresh energy and innovative vision to the family business. Rajat's educational journey is as impressive as his professional accomplishments. Alongside his studies in Management Studies, he pursued filmmaking, completing courses at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Los Angeles and the Institute of Moving Images. Recognizing the importance of balancing both academic and creative pursuits for his future endeavors in the company, he further honed his creative skills with a workshop on creative writing at Oxford Royale Academy in Oxford, U.K., and ultimately earned a Master's in Screenwriting from the prestigious London Film School. Rajat's inclination towards understanding the demand for Indian content in the international market has been marked by his active participation in international film trade events such as Cannes Marche Du Film, Mipcom, Hong Kong Filmart, and Singapore ATF. He has also attended prominent film festivals like Cannes, Venice, and Toronto, fostering long-standing business relationships worldwide. His early experiences in the industry include working as an Assistant Director on the Bollywood blockbuster "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo." He then transitioned to writing scripts for both short and feature films, producing critically acclaimed shorts such as 'Kathputli' and 'Khilauna.' 'Kathputli' won accolades from ten different festivals across six countries, while 'Khilauna' was selected at the Oscar-qualifying Urbanworld Film Festival in New York in 2017. Rajat is also expanding his horizons by taking a keen interest in South Indian content. He co-produced an action-packed Malayalam movie Antony which released theatrically in December 2023 and has three upcoming projects as a Producer. While ensuring commercial success through syndication and production, Rajat has a deep-rooted passion for arthouse cinema. It was evident in the short films that he had directed and is further showcased by producing the short film 'Jadugoda' which is currently being appreciated across various Indian and International film festivals.
