Mini bio

  • Spenser Reich, ACE, is an Editor based in Los Angeles, California. A proud Bay Area native, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for storytelling and has since built a prolific career spanning high-stakes episodic television and award-winning indie features.

Spenser most recently served as an Editor on the Netflix crime drama 'Nemesis' (2026), where she notably cut both the pilot and the season finale for creators Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole. Her recent credits also include the first season of 'Diarra from Detroit' with Executive Producers Kenya Barris and Diarra Kilpatrick, which premiered to critical acclaim at the Tribeca Film Festival (2023). Prior to these projects, she edited multiple series within the 'Power Universe,' including 'Power Book IV: Force' and 'Power Book II: Ghost,' for which she won the Black Reel Award for Outstanding Editing (2024).

Beyond her work in the episodic space, Spenser’s work in the independent film space is equally distinguished. Her 2022 indie feature, 'Samson,' premiered at the Asian American International Film Festival (2023), where it won the Audience Award for Narrative Feature Film and earned her Best Editing for a Feature Film at the LA Independent Women Film Awards.

Deeply committed to the future of the craft, Spenser devotes significant time to mentoring the next generation of Editors. Her outreach includes serving as a mentor for the MPEG Lift Up Women’s Mentorship Program, acting as an associate mentor for the ACE Diversity Mentorship Program, and guiding AFI Editing Fellows through their thesis projects. She is an active member of American Cinema Editors (ACE), the Television Academy (Emmys), and the Motion Picture Editors Guild (IATSE Local 700), and is represented by Ivana Savic at GSK Talent.
