Mona is a Chinese-American, former studio executive turned documentary filmmaker. She grew up between Beijing and Los Angeles and graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Mona was a creative executive at Netflix overseeing a slate of documentary series, before she left in 2022 to pursue the making of her own projects. Mona directed and produced the short documentary Kowloon!, and is actively developing other documentary projects.
