Biography

Tal Anderson is an award-winning storyteller and an advocate for change, using her voice and platform as an actor to support inclusion and authentic representation in Hollywood. She is best known for her Emmy-nominated role of ‘Becca King,’ sister of ‘Dr. Mel King’ (Taylor Dearden) in the critically acclaimed, award-winning HBO Max series "The Pitt," for which she won an Astra Award for Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

Other notable television projects for Tal include Netflix’s "Atypical," NBC’s Magnum P.I., Amazon Studios’ "As We See It," plus more. She has also appeared in a variety of short films, including "Breaking Normal" and "Don’t Look Out" which made their film festival debut in 2026. She also combined her love for acting and passion for advocacy by starring in a national campaign for the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Delivering Jobs initiative, in partnership with Best Buddies and Special Olympics promoting jobs for disabled people. The role in the campaign ran from 2019-2020 and included two PSAs (directed by Jason Zada and Holly Robinson Peete), magazine print ads, and a Times Square takeover. Not only does Tal shine in front of the camera, but behind the camera as well. She recently completed the edit of 54 videos for the Smithsonian Institution for their new traveling exhibit: "Japanese War Brides: Across the Wide Divide." She was also on the post-production team for the feature documentary "Meandering Scars" by BirdMine Stories. Additionally, every year she makes a film for the Disability Film Challenge, which is sponsored by Adobe, Netflix, Prime Video, Sony, and Warner Media, to name a few.

Tal has several TV shows in development, including a true crime drama series. She is also a children’s book author. Together with fellow "Atypical" colleague, artist Michael Richey White, she has released "Oh Tal! Not Like That" and "Oh Tal! Not Today" which tell the story of Tal and her cat Winnie as they take on the world. The series is for kids who feel confused and different, teaching them it’s okay to be yourself. She has two additional children’s books in the works.

Tal uses her voice to push for inclusivity. She is an official ambassador for Awareness Ties and involved with Disability Voices United and The Inspire Project. She has also collaborated with several autism and disability-related organizations including: the American Association of People with Disabilities (a prominent national cross-disability rights organization that has advanced the political and economic power of over 60 million Americans with disabilities), Ability First, the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity, and is being honored as a ‘Difference Maker’ by Beacon College in association with PBS. Tal grew up in Southwest Florida and did not speak until she was four years old. She began acting at 15 years old when she struggled with social interaction, prompting her mom to sign her up for acting classes. She attended college to better understand the film industry and gain technical skills with a B.S. in Film from Full Sail University, graduating Valedictorian. She has furthered her acting training at the Nancy Banks Studio, the Groundlings for comedy and improv, the Alexander Techworks studio for movement, and Voicecaster for voiceover. As Tal navigates the entertainment industry, she hopes to see opportunities for all roles expand to neuro-diverse actors, regardless of the character description. She is an avid horror movie fan, lover of rock music, and a true crime enthusiast. Tal lives in Los Angeles with her cat Winifred.
