Biography

Darvinique Hawthorne is whimsical, gifted, and sensational. Her presence has begun to capture audiences around the world. With her talents in singing, songwriting, and acting. She's a triple threat. Born November 21, 1987, in Savannah Georgia, with a small circle of influence that has been very instrumental in her success. Raised by a single mother (Banker) and the middle child, Darvinique found ways to escape her reality and enter into a world full of character plays, dancing, and goofing off.

Her singing was discovered at a young age and later cultivated after her mom gave her a Whitney Houston cassette tape. Realizing her gifts, Darvinique's mom gifted her with a Brittney Spears tape and a Pink CD. Throughout high school, Darvinique was known for her smooth yet powerful vocal range, singing and performing were all that held Darvinique's attention.

After high school, like some Darvinique found college distasteful and wasn't eager to sign up but after feeling stuck she signed up at her local community college for the medical field. She was told to receive financial aid she had to be a full-time student. she needed one more class. From her searches only two held her attention, piano or theatre acting, Darvinique chose theatre. She studied Theatre Arts under the direction of Doug Lawson at Sacramento College, where she graduated head of her class.

After College Hawthorne began working odd jobs to earn a living and rekindled an old relationship. Married, and had two beautiful girls. Ten years later after a crestfallen marriage and feeling like she had to always choose between the marriage and pursuing purpose, Darvinique happily walked away and dove right back into the arts. Darvinique did a lot of background and commercial work till a friend introduced her to the potential of social media. Darvinique began to post her work as a creative, catching the eyes of John West, a writer who later put Darvinique called Smoke (2021) working alongside multi-platinum singer-songwriter Tamika Scott from the group Escape.

Darvinique's professionalism and preparedness on the set of Smoke (2021) caught the attention of film director Segrin Phillips who would cast Darvinique as his leading lady in his project L.U.S.T Love Under Serious Temptation (2023) Darvinique continues to gain attention recently landing a role in The Ring Widow playing a young and older Brenda (2022) and My BFF playing a high school principle (2022)
