Biography

Kelvin Shum is a film director, writer, and producer born in Hong Kong and raised across Australia and the United States. Now based between Hong Kong and Melbourne, Shum brings a grounded, experimental, and emotionally raw approach to storytelling - shaped by both his cross-cultural experience and roots.

Fluent in three languages and holding a double degree in Film and Theatre Directing, Shum is known for capturing authentic human moments and expressing them through bold, poetic visuals. His work exploring identity, moral tension, and the search for meaning in an increasingly fractured world. He is known for his work on We Shall Overcome (2019) , Deliverance (2022)
