Tina Pham(II)
- Actress
- Art Department
Tina Pham was born in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, to Vietnamese immigrant parents and raised mostly in Vancouver. She grew up speaking Vietnamese at home and learned early how to move between different families, schools, and worlds.
In 2016, after seeing women begin to gain real visibility in mixed martial arts, Tina stepped away from acting to pursue a dream she had never realized was available to her. She spent the next several years as a competitive fighter, competing in more than 50 amateur bouts across four martial arts disciplines. After sustaining several concussions, Tina made the difficult decision to end her pursuit of professional MMA in 2024.
She later returned to acting and found stand-up comedy, bringing with her the discipline, fearlessness, and physical awareness developed through years of fighting. She has trained in the Ivana Chubbuck technique and is drawn to emotionally honest work, both on screen and on stage.
