Biography

Sacha Chaban is a French Award-winning composer, orchestrator and conductor ; founder and president of 1908 Scoring Studios, based in Los Angeles, California.

Chaban graduated from the Conservatory of Bordeaux and from UCLA, in California. He started playing piano at the age of 4, and wrote his first symphony work at the age of 22.

After his success in Orchestral Concert Music, which brought close to 30,000 spectators during his Symphonic Compositions' World Premieres in Europe, he moved to Los Angeles, in order to pursue his career in the film industry, his other passion.

Chaban composed hundreds of Instrumental, Electroacoustic, Cinematographic, Television and Advertisement works throughout the world, including the Paramount Pictures feature film « The Vanished », directed by Peter Facinelli (Twilight Saga), starring, among others, Thomas Jane (The Mist), Anne Heche (Six DaysSeven Nights) and Jason Patric (Speed 2) ; « Aftermath », directed by Peter Winther (Independance Day), produced by Lars Winther(Gardians Of The Galaxy 2), starring, among others, Shawn Ashmore (X-Men) and Ashley Greene (Twilight Saga) ; the Paramount Pictures feature film « Redemption Day », directed by Hicham Hajji (Queen Of The Desert), starring, among others, Gary Dourdan (CSI), Andy Garcia (Ocean's Eleven), Serinda Swan (Tron : Legacy), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) and Samy Naceri (Taxi) ; « Darkness Falls », directed by Julien Seri (Yamakasi), starring, among others, Shawn Ashmore(X-Men), Gary Cole (Office Space), Lin Shaye (Insidious) and Richard Harmon (The 100) ; the Netflix feature film « Girls With Balls », directed by Olivier Afonso, starring, among others, Guillaume Canet (The Beach), Denis Lavant (Holy Motors) and Dany Verissimo-Petit (District B13) ; the feature film « Breaking and Exiting », directed by Peter Facinelli (Twilight Saga), starring, among others, Milo Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge) and Jordan Hinson (Eureka). 100 episodes of the famous French-Canadian TV show « Bienvenue Chez Nous » (2 millions viewers daily) ; Dozens of advertisement campaigns such as Estee Lauder, Clarins, Infiniti cars, KFC, Saudia Airlines, Ferrero Rocher and many more...

He also orchestrated for productions such as the 4 times Oscar nominated film « Get Out » (including a nomination for Best Picture), Marvel's Oscar nominated « Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 », Steven Spielberg 's « The Whispers », ABC's « Castle », Pierce Brosnan's « I.T. », NBC's « Timeless », CBS's « S.W.A.T. » and Lionsgate's « The Spy Who Dumped Me ».
