  • Justin Casselle is an LA-based writer/director hailing from his adopted hometown of Chicago. Justin operates in both the narrative TV and film landscape as well as the branded content and commercial space. In the branded space, Justin has directed commercials McDonald's, Starbucks, PETA, and Ebony Magazine and has worked with talent such as DeMar DeRozan, Dwyane Wade, Marshawn Lynch, Marsai Martin, and Grammy-winning artists Chance the Rapper and Tank and the Bangas. In the narrative space, Justin writes and directs stylized, elevated dramas and comedies full of heart, genre-bending moments, unexpected left turns, all with sharp and funny social commentary. His short films have screened all over the country at festivals such as the American Black Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, and more. Justin's short film, The Hype, was the winner of Best Episodic at the HollyShorts Comedy Film Festival and his short prior to that,Two Hands Are Better Than One, was acquired by AspireTV and was also selected to screen at a rising Black filmmakers event at CAA. Justin was a participant in Jenni Konner's shadowing program for Hulu's comedy series Deli Boys, where he shadowed director Jeremy Konner. Justin's most recent directorial project was directing all 10 episodes of Parlor Room, Dropout TV's latest unscripted comedy series. Justin is working toward directing his first episodic, directing his first feature, and developing his pilots.
