Biography

Jamieson Shaw is an award winning Australian Music Editor, Music Producer, and Composer working between Los Angeles, New York, and Australia.

Working in both the film and recording industries, Jamieson enjoys letting the two worlds influence each other, bringing edge and authenticity into his film work, and cinematic texture and emotion into his music production and songwriting.

He specializes in creating bespoke to-picture music productions and getting the best out of song uses to enhance storytelling, as evidenced by his work on Baz Luhrmann's The Get Down, producing several tracks as well as serving as Music Programmer and Supervising Music Editor - for which he won two Golden Reel awards.

Jamieson has collaborated with musical artists as diverse as Nas, Michael Kiwanuka, Christina Aguilera, Nile Rogers, Kimbra, Daniel Johns, Charles Bradley and Grandmaster Flash.

Jamieson composed the original score for Garret Bradley's TIME, which was a 2021 Oscar nominee for best feature documentary, and was included in Barack Obama's list of 'films of the year'.

He has also written and produced original music for international advertising campaigns.

Notably, Jamieson has worked closely with internationally acclaimed composer, Elliott Wheeler on The Great Gatsby, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Turning, Strictly Ballroom the Musical, The Get Down, and countless other film, television, and advertising projects.

Jamieson is currently working on Baz Luhrmann's ELVIS, scheduled for a June 2022 release which marks his fifth project with the acclaimed director.
