Award-winning director, producer, and writer John Barkley brings a unique blend of culinary expertise and digital media mastery to capturing the world's rich tapestry of food and cooking traditions.

His work, documented across over 30 countries, has garnered prestigious recognition, including two James Beard Awards, two Telly Awards, and an IACP Award of Excellence.

John leverages more than two decades of experience at the forefront of the culinary and digital landscape. Currently, he serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Digital Media at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA).

Prior to the CIA, John's leadership at Tavolo, a pioneering e-commerce platform, and Digital Chef, a leading online recipe resource, cemented his reputation as an innovator in food and beverage marketing and brand storytelling.

John's academic background includes degrees from The Culinary Institute of America, Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, and the University of Arizona.
