  • Mike trained as an actor at the Greenwich and Lewisham Young People's Theatre (formerly Stage Centre) in London, where he trained alongside other young hopefuls such Trudie Goodwin from The Bill & Emmerdale and top comedian Jim Davidson. During his time at Stage Centre he appeared in many productions from Beckett to Brecht. He also visited schools and carried out what was then experiments around T.I.E. Over the years he has appeared in many plays and pantomimes around the country. In the 80's Mike branched out into broadcasting and could be heard on radio stations around the world. He was the senior Producer for the popular 60's singer Paul Jones on his Gospel and Blues show for London's Premier Radio. Mike has performed in two short films and one feature film. 'The Still Hour' where he played Dr Stewart and 'Old Dogs' taking on the role of Jack Newscombe for True Fiction productions. He has also appeared in the feature film 'All In The Valley', a Candylad Production, playing Meryn Heldark, the stable owner. On TV he can be seen in ITV's Doc Martin, and Broadchurch and BBC's The Coroner. Mike has also worked on a number of TV movies for the German company FFP NewMedia, 'Question of Honour' , Woman on a Cliff' and 'Ghostwriter'. He also performed character roles of Helmut the Postman in 'The Bonds Of Love'. Other movies for FFP have been as the pub landlord in 'Totally Unexpected' and David Trewyn in 'Strawberries in Springtime'. Mike's most recent on stage performance was the role of Captain Andrew Short (Army Chaplin) in the River City Productions, WW1 play 'Leaving Tommy'.
