Biography

Sunny Daydream Chen is a Canadian artist, performer, and writer. Born in Nanjing, raised in Langley, BC, Sunny moved to Vancouver at 17 years old and earned a BA in Psychology and English literature at UBC. Sunny burst onto the scene by modelling for local designers, working door for parties and after hours, covering events for webzines, and singing and dancing at DIY shows. Sunny signed with a talent agency at age 20 and began to perform professionally.

The actor voiced Jiao in 85th Peabody Award winning sci-fi game 1000xResist (2024), and starred in Karin Lee's period drama Ts'ekoo Cha Ke: The Girl with Big Feet. Sunny is known for Cheer Squad Secrets (2020), A Million Little Things (2018), and Open Ethnicity (2021).

Sunny Daydream writes songs in English and Mandarin, available on all music platforms. The artist enjoys singing to wildlife, soups of all kinds, thrifting, and curating playlists and mood boards.
