- Marc Giguere is a Nashville-based film composer and electronic musician, whose focus is on the other kind of film scoring. Marc's compositions often forgo traditional instrumentation, in favor of post-rock flavored electric guitars, pushed and twisted field recordings, and broad, deep synthesizer textures. Marc's music is always in pursuit of the modern and the new, with a particular focus on the textural and atmospheric.
Marc got his musical start playing bass guitar and piano in the Nashville rock, punk and jazz scenes as a "hired gun", before pursuing an education at the University of Tennessee in Classical Music Composition. Learning about sonatas and symphonies as a guy with a primarily rock 'n' roll background gave Marc a unique perspective, which carries into his music today.
Today, Marc's music and sound design contributions can be heard in feature films such as Wander Darkly (Hulu), The Novice (Netflix, Tribecca Film Fest Best Narrative Feature 2023), and dozens of award winning short films on platforms such as Alter, Crypt TV and Dust.
