Terek M. Young is a Philadelphia-based screenwriter, director, and filmmaker whose work explores the moral complexities of human nature through emotionally driven, character-centered storytelling. As both a writer and director, he crafts stories where faith, justice, guilt, redemption, and the resilience of the human spirit collide, inviting audiences to reflect on the choices that define us and the truths that unite us.
In 2022, Terek co-founded YaH Vision Productions with his wife, Dr. Psyche D. Young, to develop original films that engage both the heart and the mind. A graduate of Temple University's School of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts, he earned his BA in Film and Media Arts in 2024. His thesis film, Father Forgive Me for I Have Sinned, is currently streaming on multiple platforms.
Before stepping behind the camera, Terek worked as an actor, an experience that continues to shape his collaborative approach to directing and his commitment to authentic performances. His creative voice has also been influenced by three years of theological study at Nyack College Alliance Theological Seminary and a lifelong commitment to Christian ministry. While faith informs his worldview, his storytelling reaches beyond religious audiences, exploring universal questions of morality, justice, identity, sacrifice, and redemption.
Through YaH Vision Productions, Terek continues to write and direct original feature films that entertain, challenge, and inspire meaningful conversation long after the final frame.
