Kathy Speirs(II)

Kathy Speirs was born in Port Talbot and is based in Clydebank, Scotland. Feature films produced to date include multi-award winning international co production UK/Irish road trip Moon Dogs (2016) as lead producer, and Welsh co-production Brexit thriller Concrete Plans (2020) with perfectmotion. TV productions include co-creation of 1×28 scripted Hogmanay comedy First Footing (2022) and 1×28 Sketch show special Pity Party (2019). Live Action short films produced include Sally Leapt Out Of A Window One Night, I am Not, Man at the Window, The Marriage Counsellor, mixed media animations include RSPB and Scottish Refugee Council co production The Flight of the Sandmartin. Prior to setting up production company Up Helly Aa in 2012 she worked in Social Work, Education, Theatre and in the third sector and on talent development short film schemes for BBC Boost, UKFC, and BFI Network.
