His screen credits include notable appearances in high-profile projects such as Ordinary Joe (NBC/Disney), Hell Below (National Geographic), and the Sony Pictures action-thriller Kill 'Em All, starring alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme. Atkinson’s artistic foundation was laid long before he stepped in front of a camera. A native of Theodore, Alabama, he was raised in a musical household and began his journey as a performer at the organ console. He holds a B.A. in Music (Piano and Organ) and is a former gold medalist at the MMTA College piano competition. This background as a concert-level organist and pianist-specializing in the complex improvisations of the Romantic period-gives him a rhythmic and disciplined approach to his acting craft.
When not on set, Andrew serves as the General Manager of Chapel Music Company and continues to contribute to the Atlanta arts community as the Organist and Choirmaster at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church. His diverse skill set is rounded out by expertise in classical fencing, stage combat, and equestrian sports, making him a versatile asset for period pieces and action-driven narratives alike.
