Biography

Henry K. Hwang is a film director, writer, producer, and founder of the media production company SPIRAL. He attended New York University as a Film & Television major, and the films he has either written and directed or produced have been screened and recognized at numerous international festivals, including Tribeca Film Festival and Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts among others. He is now developing a feature film as a writer/director with Oscar-shortlisted producer Scott Aharoni and his production company Curious Gremlin.

Outside of film, he has directed and written a $1.3 million USD budget musical called 'Stand or Die, Nak-dong River', which starred K-pop star Sunye and K-drama actress Elijah Lee. It toured major theaters throughout South Korea, including the Seoul Universal Arts Center.
