James spent 2015 simply learning new practices and enhancing existing production skills whilst covering a variety of roles as either producer, director, camera operator or sound recordist. James has become a competent member of any production crew and has gone on to become a valued crew member whilst on set.
Shooting a plethora of content such as short films, promotional videos for businesses, event highlights or working closely with local causes, James has been fortunate enough to experience the diverse industry that videography entails.
Having attended events with both the BBC and Channel 4 learning about production management and production processes, James then went onto spend a week with Channel 4 casting for the TFI Friday Special which was both enjoyable and insightful. More recently James has spent a short few days with Big Talk; the producing company behind Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Paul, Scott Pilgrim vs The World and the new feature film Grimsby with Sacha Baron Cohen.
For the future James' plans are to freelance across the north west, establishing himself as a professional camera operator and producer working closely with businesses and local causes creating high quality content to create a sleek and professional showreel. For now however James will finish his Film & Television Production Degree at Edge Hill University before investing in his future.
