Michael Picher has composed music for zany cartoons, symphonic concert works, and atmospheric synth tracks. As a trumpet player, he has earned awards for classical and jazz performance, including the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award in 2010.
One of Michael's tools in composing music is creating his own custom virtual instrument sample libraries, including pianos and organs, percussion, brass, as well as unconventional sounds like baking pans and children's toys.
In late 2015, Michael wrote the music for a number of animated short films, including one directed/animated by his brother, Stephen Picher, which went on to win the Savanna College of Art and Design Chair's Select Award and was part of the the Official Selection, at the Constantine's Gold Coin International Film Festival.
