Biography

Sé Marie Volk is a Los Angeles-based actor and producer known for her work in independent film, festival cinema, and award-winning digital projects. A graduate of Allegheny College with a degree in film production, she began her career working as a stunt double for Rachel McAdams and Vinessa Shaw before transitioning into leading and supporting screen roles.

Volk gained recognition in the independent film space with roles in Career Opportunities in Organized Crime, which premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in 2016, and Careful Not to Cry, which screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017. Her additional credits include the comedy feature Movers Ultimate, the period drama Unsinkable, and the Western thriller short Mexican Hat.

In 2020, she won the Glorioso International One-Minute Monologue Competition. She produced, directed, and starred in the web series A Very Covid Christmas, which received three 2021 Telly Awards. In 2023, she led the sci-fi short Artificial Existence, which went on to earn more than 20 festival awards worldwide, including a Best Actress nomination from the Bucharest ShortCut Cinefest.

In addition to acting, Volk is an active producer and mentor. She is a member of BAFTA Connect, Women in Film, and serves on the Telly Awards Judging Council.
