Alejandro Karo is a composer from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. His work integrates contemporary musical language with electronics. He began his career in film scoring with the feature film I Wish, I Wish, earning the Best Original Music award at the Crystal Screen Awards in Mexico City (2018), as well as at the Heixploitation Film Festival in Canada. His credits include Scarlet Girls (2026), which premiered at CPH:DOX, SXSW and Hot Docs, Jesus of Nazareth (2019), and the documentary The Three Polos, awarded Best First Feature at DocsMX 2025. In addition to film, he develops personal projects as a composer and performer. His work has been presented in concerts in Mexico and abroad. In 2026, he released Systems, continuing his exploration of electronic and contemporary music.
