Biography

After graduation with honor Moscow State University of Management and 2,5 years in TV production, Olesya was granted an Endeavour Award Scholarship and moved from Moscow to Sydney to join the course of Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Screen and Media at Sydney Film School. Over her 2-years study she participated in numerous student film production and also produced, directed and edited 4 short documentaries. Her graduation project How History May Come was screened as a part of Australian Short Competition at Antenna Documentary Film Festival, won an ATOM 2016 Award as Best Tertiary Documentary and was nominated for the 2016 IDA Awards for the David L. Wolper Student Documentary Award.
