Biography

Anton Korppi-Tommola

Mini bio

  • Anton Korppi-Tommola began his acting career in 2010 after graduating from the Michael Tschechow Studio in Berlin. For four years he worked on stage in Germany, performing in productions such as Faust, Leonce and Lena, and Arabian Night.

He transitioned to screen with Where Are You Going, Habibi? (2015) and later appeared in The Wind Bloweth Where It Listeth (2017), 1999 (2017), Memories of a Lake (2017), and Aktenzeichen XY (2018, ZDF). His role as Bryce McAvoy in Memories of a Lake earned him a Best Actor nomination at the Nice International Film Festival. He co-directed A Song for Luise (2019), produced Waiting for a Dog (2018), and in 2023 created the TV series pilot Hippostrofen, which he produced, directed, and starred in - a project he looks forward to realizing fully.

Born to a Finnish mother, Anton grew up bilingual and is fluent in Swedish, English, German, and Finnish. This autumn he will direct a master project at Stockholm University of the Arts while appearing in two short films set to premiere on Swedish Television (SVT).
